The dataset I am
going to be using is called Canadian undergraduate tuition fees by
field of study. I got this dataset from Statistics Canada. The dataset includes all fields of study that Canadian
undergraduate have studied and paid tuition fees over the past 5 years.

of data does it contain?

data that you don’t understand?

The dataset contains
aggregated data, based on how much money that students have paid due to the
different fields of study and different province of city. It identifies 19
different fields of study that Canadian undergraduate have studied and the
average amount of tuition fees have paid over the past 5 years in Canada,
Quebec, and British Columbia.

No, there is
nothing about this dataset that I don’t understand. The dataset and column
headings are set up in an easy way to understand. However, it will take few
minutes to find the answer you are looking for as the data is quite large.

One thing I believe you did well was describing your dataset. Just by reading your description I knew what you will be working on. One thing I think you can improve would be your questions. Remember that "why" or "how" questions can not be answered by datasets, or may be too easy to answer.

回覆刪除I really like this topic because it is relatable for us university students. I always wondered what the most popular field of study was, and now i'll be able to figure it out by seeing your final project. Good job.
回覆刪除Hi Joanna, this is a very interesting topic, considering all of us are university students and we are paying quite a lot for our education. I really liked the questions you have proposed, they are very specific and it will be interesting to see what the results are. I missed your URL to the dataset and did not realize it was linked to the question. I believe you could have incorporated the link into a better spot in the assignment.
回覆刪除I think this is an interesting topic. The information you provided about this data set is very clear and concise. Also the questions are helpful to understand. One thing I think you could improve is making font color black! Overall it's a great evaluation！
